This is an acclaimed establishment in Roseville. People love it so I thought I'd try it. I think this may hit a soft spot on some people but I'm going to say it anyways.

The first thing I noticed were the $15 plates. What!? This is Mexican food. It shouldn't be that expensive and it always bugs me when it's billed as gourmet or... whatever. 

I'm not sure that the order went in right away because we waited for what seemed to be over thirty minutes for our food to arrive and this was midweek. Me and my pal (mostly me) knocked out two baskets of chips while waiting but they were tasty. When this happens, and I understand that it does, the staff should give some reason and probably give a complimentary guacamole or something.

I did like the food when it finally arrived but the service really killed it for me. Overall...it's overpriced and overrated.
