South Placer leaders "walk" and "listen" to get results for local businesses

Business Walk 2012 aims to gather feedback from 500 businesses

ROSEVILLE, CA – Asking a few simple questions can lead to big results – at Business Walk 2011 the feedback received from local businesses resulted in a change to the City of Roseville’s sign ordinance and caused Placer County to relax its sign ordinance.

During this Fourth Annual Business Walk, the Roseville Chamber of Commerce, the City of Roseville and Placer County will be partnering together to generate fresh feedback from business owners in the Roseville/Granite Bay area that leads to results. Teams of two will canvass about 500 businesses from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thurs., Oct. 11. Teams will meet at Brandman University at 8:30 a.m. for the kick-off, where they will receive their business assignments.

Sacramento Hispanic Chamber Elects Tony Lopez as Chair of the Board of Directors

The Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce announced today that Tony Lopez, a vice president at PRIDE Industries, has been elected Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors for the next year. 

Mr. Lopez, 35, has worked for PRIDE for 15 years, currently serving as Vice President of Operations, where he leads the organization’s $45 million manufacturing and logistics division and is responsible for both profitability and operational excellence for the organization’s distribution, fulfillment, supply chain and electronics manufacturing business units. He oversees a workforce of 450, including 240 people with disabilities.

“I am honored to lead this dynamic organization that is dedicated to serving and advancing the Latino community in the Greater Sacramento region,” Mr. Lopez said.
