Diva Day Scheduled For September 29th
Local young ladies 2-18 are set to enjoy some serious primping and pampering Saturday September 29th Noon-3:00 P.M. at WynSpring Family Resource Center (2755 Cottage Way #19 Sacramento,CA. 95825).Known as Diva Day this afternoon of being simply spoiled was developed as an annual opportunity to help boost the self concept of young ladies with special needs living in foster or adoptive homes.
“It’s very touching to watch the festivities come together and unfold” explains Sacramento resident and volunteer Tru McGuire who co-chairs the event. McGuire a licensed cosmologist and former Las Vegas show girl says the girls have a great time, and even bring along their brothers to enjoy air brushed tattoos and spiked out hair.
Children participating are invited by WynSpring Family Resource Center a Sacramento based non-profit organization that provides comprehensive treatment and care to children in protective custody. All services and supplies for the program are provided by project partners and volunteers.
Help is still needed with the following: hair style, make up, manicres/pedicures,air brushed tattoos, goody bags and refreshments.
