Recycle The Treats Program Has a Sweet Impact
Children of all ages are encouraged to participate in Army Of Angels Recycle The Treats program, a project which promotes community service amongst young people. The simple effort invites kids to commit to contributing back a minimum of one half their Halloween candy to then be used in filling stockings for challenged or under privileged families at Christmas.
“It’s wonderful to see children get involved in work that helps them to understand the value of good citizenship and being socially conscious” explains Max Woodford, owner of Life Connect Home Services, Woodford supports and supervises numerous Kiwanis Key Clubs in the region, a youth group that offers times to such worthy endeavors.
Volunteers are needed to assist with program outreach, collecting and sorting candy as well as stocking stuffing event. For more information or to participate contact Kathleen Moore 916-259-4396.
