Route Released For Coast To Coast Ride

Motorcycle Run To Support Children Nation Wide

Sacramento,CA.-Kross Kountry-4-Kids a coast to coast motorcycle run generating awareness and support for children throughout America has set the route for this ambitious journey, scheduled to depart Folsom Harley-Davidson (Folsom, CA.)Sunday April 1st 2012 and travel to Washington D.C. and back during National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Mark Lunsford, father of 9 year old homicide victim Jessica Lunsford and accomplished child advocate, who has helped pass Jesse’s Law in 45 states (named after his daughter)will be leading the pack, and says he is extremely enthusiastic about the ride. “We will travel South to Los Angelas,East to Arizona and onto New Mexico and Texas, then through Tennasee,Virgina and ultimately host a summit in Washington D.C. before returning to California”.

The Kross Kountry-4- Kids team will travel together for two weeks arriving to the East coast the weekend following their departure. Team member positions are open to ride the entire route or a portion of the journey.” This is a very important commitment to our kids” Lunsford says about those devoting themselves to the effort and hitting the road next April to make a difference.

In addition to working diligently to pass Jesse’s Law throughout America Lunsford has spent a great deal of time helping elevate awareness for the Adam Walsh Act, legislation which like Jesse’s Law addresses the administration of swift and effective justice for sexual predators which prey against children. Lunsford is adamant that U.S. Marshalls be enabled and empowered to seek out and capture fugitives escaping justice, as they present such a significant risk to children. Something the Adam Walsh Act aggressively addresses.

Kross Kountry-4-Kids is being produced by Lunsford and Sacramento based promoter Kathleen Moore who specializes in socially conscious and non-traditional marketing efforts. Moore has organized dozens of large motorcycle runs including the prominent Capital To Capital Ride Across America, featured in several Discovery Chanel documentaries. The program is working in comprehensive partnership with law enforcement groups, justice officials, social service programs,educaters and members of the news media along with a large number of Harley-Davidson shops and Harley Owners Groups (HOGs).

Help is needed sponsoring provisions for the team as they travel such as: accomodations,meals,chase vehicles,water,snacks and fuel cards. There is also a need for contributions of time and cash resources to fund related causes benefiting including Surviving Parents Coalition. Potential Team members are asked to complete an application and will execute a commitment agreement upon being officially appointed as an authorized member, insuring all involved meet necessary criteria to stand on the front lines for children (those with a serious criminal history need not apply).
