Sierra College Foundation to Host its Eighth Annual "A Taste of Excellence" Gala | Community
ROCKLIN, Calif. – The Sierra College Foundation will host its 8th annual “A Taste of Excellence” on Saturday, May 5, at the Sierra College Rocklin campus.
The elegant food- and wine-tasting gala will serve up food from the region’s best restaurants and wineries, as well as silent and live auctions.
Proceeds from the evening will go toward supporting students and programs at Sierra College, including this year a special emergency fund for students in need.
For the fifth consecutive year, Wells Fargo will be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2012 “A Taste of Excellence” gala.

With an attendance of nearly 500 people each year, the special evening features more than 50 of the finest local restaurants and wineries showcasing their finest wines and entrées. In total, since the first event in 2005, this annual affair has raised more than $950,000, showcasing that it is one of Placer County’s premier fundraising efforts.
Last year the event was able to raise more than $160,000 for the Sierra College Foundation
“With the help of Wells Fargo, we’re looking forward to another fun and elegant community event that supports Sierra College students,” said Sonbol Aliabadi, executive director of the Sierra College Foundation. “The money raised from every ‘A Taste of Excellence’ has established valuable scholarships and helped important student programs.”
The Sierra College Foundation provides multiple sponsorship options available for any local business that is available to sponsor this tasteful event. “A Taste of Excellence” provides a great opportunity for businesses to showcase their support of students seeking a higher education and enjoy an elegant evening with clients.
“A Taste of Excellence” starts at 6:30 p.m. on the campus, which will be specially decorated for the event. Tickets for the event are $100 per person. The Sierra College Rocklin campus is located at 5000 Rocklin Road.
