ROSEVILLE, CA - A wanted parolee led police on a vehicle and foot pursuit into a Roseville neighborhood on Friday morning.

According to Dee Dee Gunther with the Roseville Police Dept., the parolee was spotted in a vehicle by an officer who attempted to pull him over. The individual fled, but was spotted again around 11:45 a.m. on I-80 at Madison Ave.

The parolee fled again towards Roseville, knocking down a bicyclist and hitting a vehicle along the way, said Gunther.

The man abandoned his vehicle on Cirby Hill Dr. in Roseville and fled on foot. Officers pursued and initiated a full search of the neighborhood and surrounding creekbed areas near Riverside Ave. and Cirby Way, Gunther said.

The parolee, identified as Jeffrey LaRoche, 30, of Roseville, was found and arrested on the 300 block of Cirby Way around 2:20 p.m.

According to Gunther, LaRoche was previously incarcerated for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He also had prior drug and petty theft charges, as well as older charges which included unlawful sex.

Neither the cyclist, nor the motorist hit by LaRoche during the chase suffered serious injuries, according to Gunther.
