GRANITE BAY, CA - The party's over for a 19-year-old Roseville man sheriff's investigators say was behind a huge July 16 party in Granite Bay in which hundreds of teens were drinking alcohol.
Zachary C. Fischer, who describes himself as a party promoter, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of minors and conspiracy, said Placer County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Dena Erwin said.
When deputies were dispatched to respond to the large gathering, Erwin said party-goers threw bottles and other objects at them. One occupant of the home where the party took place was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of minors and another person was arrested for driving under the influence.
Erwin said deputies tracked down Fischer via a tip there was another large party planned in Loomis for Aug. 3 and Facebook postings inviting more than 4,000 kids.
Investigators claim Fischer was hiring underage youths to tend bar, provide security and serve as DJs.
Fischer posted bail and was released from Placer County Jail.
