GRANITE BAY, CA - A teacher from Granite Bay has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a former student who is underage.
Jennifer Lynn Woods, 35, was arrested and booked into custody Thursday, Jan. 10, for underage sex and oral copulation with a minor, said Placer County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Dena Erwin.
The sheriff's department made the arrest following information received from the Placer County Department of Education that Woods was alleged to have been seeing the 17-year-old boy for a year when he was 16 and 17 years old. He was one of her students two years ago.
Woods posted $100,000 bail and was released.
Erwin said the student transferred to another school.
