Crews contain costly fire at Beale AFB | News
YUBA COUNTY, CA - Beale Air Force Base officials tallied the cost of fire damage to a base building Monday at $10 million.
Flames were first reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. in a civil engineering squadron building, according to base public affairs. There was one person inside at the time and that person safely escaped.
One firefighter did suffer minor injuries and was being treated at an area hospital, the news release said.
It wasn't yet known how the fire started.
Beale AFB, Linda and Wheatland firefighters responded.
