LINCOLN, CA - The search for a missing firefighter, presumed drowned at Camp Far West reservoir, intensified this weekend.
Lt. Damon Gil with the Yuba County Sheriff's office tells News10 he expected more people to join the search Saturday because it's the weekend. He said family and friends of William Porter are expected to take part in the search Saturday along with Yuba County deputies and members of the Sacramento Fire Department.
58-year-old William Porter was reported missing Wednesday when he did not come home from a fishing trip at Camp Far West Reservoir. His boat and personal belongings were found on the water late Wednesday, at which time a search and recovery effort was launched.
Porter is an engineer with the Sacramento Fire Department.
