Angels On Air Tips Their Hats To Men Making A Difference
THREE MEN & THEIR BABY, featuring the day to day lives and diverse advocacy practices of Marc Klaas, Mark Lunsford and Mark Sconce (all fathers of daughters who fell prey to child predators then homicide), began as an remarkably well read/shared I-Report several months ago. Now it has become a multi-media series of radio shows, television spots and news stories saluting He Heroes around the world, slated as Men Making A Difference.
Men Making A Difference calls attention to the noble work of male advocates and entrepreneurs who are working daily to transform lives and make the world a better place. This series shines the spotlight on icons such as international inspirational leader Anthony Robbins, who will be in San Jose, CA. July 19th-22nd presenting Unleash the Power Within. Robbins and his team revealed to the Men Making A Difference crew the origin of his own daily motivation, triggered by a humbling experience where his own family was provided a Thanksgiving meal during a time of need by individuals they had never met. Robbins goes on to explain at that moment he discovered if strangers cared about him, he needed to care about strangers.
Robbins prides himself in helping folks of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds discover their very own personal formula for success. He has devoted his life to this practice over the past 30 years, working with groups in more than 100 countries. His emphasis is on personal achievement, health & fitness, inner balance, outstanding relationships, time & life management and career/money strategies.
When reality super star Paul Teutal Sr. of Discovery Channels’s American Chopper was interviewed live during a special segment of Angels On Air last week, the lines were so overwhelmed with callers wishing to speak with him, Teutul himself had to phone back in four times before the switchboard could successfully navigate him into the host cue for the show to begin.Tetul Sr. candidly shared how his work fabricating unique custom choppers has been therapeutic in his own life, contributing to him remaining clean and sober for more than two decades, and how the practice has been a catalyst for what others describe as a “love-hate relationship” between he and his sons who have followed in his foot steps. Through Orange County Choppers,Teutul’s business, he has helped to raise millions of dollars for hundreds of worthy causes, citing that as one of the greatest privileges he has had in life.
Roger Chiang,Executive In Charge of America’s Most Wanted (John Walsh’s producer) talked about how his sister’s homicide drives him daily in his compassionate work with crime victims, when being interviewed during Angels On Air.Chiang travels the country with Walsh chronicling the capture of fugitives and invites citizens around the world to help bring dangerous criminals at large to justice.Chiang was interviewed along with Mark Lunsford (father of homicide victim Jessica Lunsford-facilitator of Jesse’s Law named after his daughter)during that episode, and took time to reach out to Lunsford and hail his work, describing him as an “American hero”. Lunsford in turn tearfully shared how much it meant to he and his family to have the America’s Most Wanted crew with them when Jesse’ was still “missing”.
Other high profile men featured include Chicago Bears line backer Lance Briggs, Founder of the Briggs-4-Kidz Foundation who hosts football camps for young people and Ed Smart, father of abduction survivor Elizabeth Smart, who supports his daughter’s foundation, along with Smart Kids and several other programs that educate children in pro-active practices which take aim at keeping them safe.
