Photo Gallery | Summer Shape-Up #4: Stability Ball "Ball Pass" for incredible abs
By Valerie Rush
The exercise ball is an excellent tool to strengthen the abs. On the ball, the abs do more of the work, but you still involve the entire body to help stabilize you throughout the movement, a nice bonus that floor crunches don't always offer.
Stability Ball "Ball Pass" is an ab exercise that involves passing the stability ball back and forth between the feet and hands.
1) Lay on the floor on your back with your arms over your head holding the stability ball while it rests on the floor.
2) At the same time as you raise the ball up you will also raise your feet up to "pass the ball" from your hands to your feet.
3) Once you do this you will lower your arms and legs back to the floor.
4) Continue to firmly hold the stability ball between your legs and continue with the same motion raising your arms and legs using your midsection bringing the two together.
Do 3 sets of 8 to 12
